To support our continued growth and excellent demand for our products, Stainless Motors, Inc. is seeking a talented and creative Mechanical Design Engineer experienced in power transmission equipment design. Our products include electric motors through 30 HP, gear reducers, flexible couplings and adapters as are required in severe washdown duty areas of Pharmaceutical, Biotech and Food Processing facilities. In addition to a wide variety of standard and custom electric motors, we design and manufacture worm, spiral bevel, and planetary gear reducers from fractional HP thru 30 HP input. The successful candidate will have recent and relevant experience in the design and application of power transmission elements such as shafts, gears, bearings, electric motors, etc. and be familiar with the manufacturing operations to produce them, such as CNC machining. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required as there will be extensive customer, sales and manufacturing personnel contact. Candidate must be well versed in AutoCad and be ready and willing to produce required manufacturing drawings. Experience with a solid modeling program such as SolidWorks is a plus. To support our continued growth and excellent demand for our products, Stainless Motors, Inc. is seeking highly skilled and versatile CNC machinists with CNC mill and/or CNC lathe capabilities. Stainless Motors, Inc. manufactures stainless steel housed electric motors through 30 HP, stainless steel gear reducers, flexible couplings, etc. as are required in severe washdown duty areas of Pharmaceutical, Biotech, and Food Processing facilities. All of our housing designs are executed in stainless steel with extra consideration given to the cleanability of exterior surfaces. Internal component materials are generally standard alloy steels. In addition to a wide variety of standard and custom electric motors, we design and manufacture worm, spiral bevel, and planetary gear reducers from fractional through 30 HP input. General Requirements: Set-up and operate CNC lathes and/or CNC mills without assistance. Proficient in the use of turning, boring, and milling tooling. Must be efficient with short run to single piece lots. Hold tolerances to 0.0005". Experience with T304, T316, and 17-4 H1150 stainless steel, as well as, 4140 steel. Calculate and apply proper speeds and feeds. Knowledgeable and proficient with micrometers, dial calipers, dial indicators, bore gauges, and height gauges. Basic math competency including trigonometry required. All candidates must be proficient in reading and writing programs using EIA (G code). Ideal candidate will also have some experience with a CAM program such as BobCAD or MasterCam. Physical Requirements:
